The Happenings..
This blog has been silent for a while. What has been going on these last few weeks? We have been busy living in our own little world, not much to really write about. Today is a pretty special day though, I will be showing off a special Iron Ring by the end of the day. Today is the "Ritual of the calling of the Engineer", it's a tradition that started in 1923 for the engineering community. The Iron Ring is a symbol that bring engineers closer together and serves as a reminder to the engineer and others of the engineer's obligation to live by a high standard of professional conduct.
I'm stoked! All the pieces are coming together...
Unfortunately my training as of late has not been very consistent. Work has been busy with many presentations last week, and the drop into freezing temperatures always sends me into hibernation mode. My training always seems to take about 3 false starts before I get consisent with it. I did ditch my cross bike for last weeks time trial laps during our 4 hour ride. The cross bike would have been too hard to maintain a decent speed on a time trial course, so I took out the Cervelo P3C. After riding the cross bike exclusively for 3 months it was nice to be on skinny tires and feel like I could ride away from the group rather than the group riding away from me. The time trial laps were solid, I rode solo (no drafting) to get a base time that I can (hopefully) improve upon throughout the year.
Here are some pics I snapped of Ellie last night.

How It's Made - BACON
I love Bacon, but after watching this I think that I won't be ordering it as much.
