Kay that hurt.

I am sorry to report that Tam suffered a huge Asthma attack during the swim that affected her throughout the bike and the start of run. She was wheezing terribly and has decided that her health is too important (she DNF'd)

Tammy we are so sorry - we watched both of your progress throughout, wondered what happened. Yes your health is the most important thing.

Tammy, Nesha says she hopes you get better soon and Callum says he loves you!!! Chad you have competition...that's OK you have Emily.

Chad congrats - was this your best time?

What a great following you two have... and that includes all those (us) that recognize a true athlete knows that to race another day is so much more important than the moment. Tough one Tam ... but anyone who has been in the sport for a while knows that there are some factors that arise and are beyond your control, and as you did, you have to accept that and go with it. I'm proud of you, and you have demonstrated prudency like a trooper. As for a disappontment in a race, ask Milt, ask Tom, ask Ali, ask Lee Heffren when he did Hawaii ... ask ME!

But on the other hand, your incredible Florida journey has got to be as wonderful as the race itself, and the journey you two have had sets the bar very high. Can't wait to see you again and tell you all this in person. I'm joining in that hug with Lois!

And Chad ... I know Tammy must be in awe of how well you performed, and how good things went for you. That will help her average things out. Love you guys!

Hey guys,
We are very proud of both of you! We know it's a team event for you two, much like it is for myself and Tammy K. Chad's great time is a reflection of both of your capabilities! We know what you are both capable of and the training sounded like an adventure. We miss you guys and can't wait to see you.

Hi Chad and Tam
Sorry I missed your call Tam. Les probably told you that we were having a much needed "sister weekend" at the Lakeside.
So sorry to hear that you couldn't finish Tam, but you did the right thing for sure. Great going Chad!!!! Glad you both survived all those hazards before the race!!!! Will look forward to talking with you on the phone. Let me know a good time to call and at which number. Jayden is one year old today. I can't believe how fast the year went!!
Loads of love and talk to you soon.
Mom (JIP) and Les
P.S. JIP is Julie in Penticton. It will change to JIM soon.
